Like many 2020 couples, Kaela and Adam were faced with the decision of whether to postpone their wedding or work within current regulations. As they’d already been quarantining with Adam’s family in Vermont for a few months, the decision seemed easy – they’d marry where they had most recently been making memories. Little did I know, Adam’s family home in Stratton conveniently had AMAZING views of the mountains right from their porch.
A Stratton Vermont Wedding: The Day!
As I arrived, Kaela was finishing up hair and makeup and laughing with her sisters inside. I snuck away to photograph a few details, and then spent time with Adam and friends while they played pool. After Adam perfected his tie length and buttoned his custom fit suit from Michael Andrew Bespoke, it was time for Kaela to slip into the dress she purchased from Flair Boston. Before it was go-time, Bondville Bloomist put the final touches on the ceremony site (their amazing deck) with a gorgeous bright floral landscape, and Rainers Gourmet prepared for their intimate dinner that would follow.
After the Stratton Vermont wedding ceremony and family portraits were over, Kaela, Adam and I snuck away to the nearby Stratton snowmaking pond for a handful of sunset portraits. Not only was it fun to explore the property, but this was the very same spot Adam proposed to Kaela. I’m so glad that we were able to document their wedding at not one, but two Vermont locations that hold meaning for their love story.
Needless to say, Adam and Kaela had an absolute dream of an intimate micro wedding at home with immediate family and friends. Their Stratton Vermont wedding photography gallery highlights are a great representation of their day. They sipped wine, they laughed, they cried, (and I cried along with them, both during the ceremony and when it was time for toasts.) Adam’s dad created an entire poem for his speech and Kaela’s family went so far as to create lyrics to an entire song for theirs. The day was beautiful, emotional and full of so much love.
Kaela and Adam, congratulations again! I had such an amazing day with the two of you and hope our paths cross again!
