This holiday-themed Mountain Top Inn and Resort wedding was the perfect way to wrap up the 2021 wedding season. Lindsay and Andrew hosted the coziest mid-December celebration complete with flannel blankets, a horse-drawn carriage, portraits in the evergreens, and a hand-cut Christmas tree. Yes, really – they brought their own tree! The weather was overcast and snowy – one of those Vermont winter days that makes you want to cuddle up under some twinkly lights with a loved one. Lucky for this couple, they were able to do just that. After their ceremony and outdoor portraits, they spent the evening with one another under the glowing lights of the resort’s wedding barn – along with their family and friends, of course! Take a peek below at my last 2021 wedding of the year. If you’re dreaming of a holiday-themed winter wedding, this may provide just the inspo you’re looking for!
A Christmas-Inspired Mountain Top Inn and Resort Wedding: The Recap
After a scenic drive on Vermont backroads with hot coffee in hand (always), I arrived at The Mountain Top Inn & Resort. Lindsey and her crew, all wearing red flannel pajamas, were getting ready while sipping mimosas. Once her makeup was done, Lindsay spent a few moments along opening her wedding gift from Andrew – an intricate journal filled with a year’s worth of daily, handwritten love letters. Meanwhile, in a cottage on the other side of the resort, Andrew spent the morning with his family and friends. The mood was upbeat and fun. Andrew and his friends all matched with new sunglasses, suspenders, and custom socks and cufflinks. Lindsay and Andrew chose not to do a first look but wanted to share a special moment together before their ceremony with their pastor, who drove up from Boston. Due to cold weather, the ceremony was indoors, complete with decorated Christmas trees, ivory drapery, twinkle lights lining the walls of drapery, and a lantern-lit aisle. Following the ceremony Lindsey and Andrew spent a few moments alone on a horse-drawn carriage ride while guests celebrated with cocktails in the tavern. After a grand entrance into their reception followed by a choreographed first dance, guests celebrated the night away to live music.
A Christmas-Inspired Mountain Top Inn and Resort Wedding: The Couple
Lindsay and Andrew’s Mountain Top Inn and Resort wedding was full of small, thoughtful details that illustrated just how committed they are to each other’s happiness. From their personalized gifts to each other, to the way they interacted throughout the evening, to their emotion when talking about their future plans – I have no doubt these two have a bright future ahead.
