Being a wedding photographer in Vermont is the best — I say it time and time again and I can’t promise that I’ll stop any time soon! Not only do we have gorgeous summer greenery and cozy snowy winters, but we have endless lakes, mountains, and panoramic views. Nick and Lauren’s picnic-style Edson Hill wedding embraced so many of these beautiful elements that Vermont has to offer and I loved every second of it.
Needless to say, it’s been a strange and stressful year. Like many 2020 couples, Lauren and Nick had something else in mind for their original wedding day plans. However, as the pandemic progressed this summer, these two adjusted accordingly…again, and again.
An Edson Hill Wedding: Picnic Style
Their last adjustment led them to host a micro wedding at Edson Hill with fifteen of their closest family members, followed by an intimate picnic by the property’s pond. When the picnic began to wrap up, Lauren and Nick followed Macauley and I to the summit of Mount Mansfield. Once there, they read their vows to each other with their dog Luna sweetly positioned at their feet.
if anything, use this post as another reminder that while celebrations may be smaller this year, they are still so, so full of all the good things marrying your person can bring. Oh, and some beautiful images, too.
