The Farmhouse Inn at Robinson Farm
Woodstock, Vermont

Oh hey there, friends!

I’m back with another blog recapping Abby and Kevin’s beautiful Farmhouse Inn at Robinson Farm Wedding. This gorgeous venue located in Woodstock, Vermont. From the second I pulled into the driveway to meet Abby and Kevin for the site walkthrough, I was awed by this property and the overwhelming warmth and friendliness of the owners, Tory and Barry. I’d also like to make mention of their go-to coordinator, Ana DiNatale – she was wonderful to work with!

As you’ll see below, the venue just feels like home. You arrive and your shoulders immediately unhinge from your ears, you begin breathing deep and full breaths of fresh air again as stress seems to melt away. Chickens roam freely across the field and bury themselves a little in small piles of dirt near the barn. Later, you walk through the Inn and see fresh eggs on the kitchen counter. Not far from where you’re standing, there’s an old victorian-style couch that reminds you of lost memories at your grandparents’ home as a child. You feel cozy. As I sit here writing this, I miss the place and will absolutely be back for a long weekend staycation with my husband, Mark.

That said, enough blabbering about the wonder of this venue and on to revisiting the special moments of Abby and Kevin’s wedding day. After a few introductory emails, I met these two a few months later for a coffee in my home town of Ludlow, Vermont. We quickly hit it off — Abby’s warm personality and Kevin’s welcoming smile were almost all I needed to know that I would have a wonderful time working with these two love birds. As you’ll see below, Abby is an incredibly thoughtful, well organized lady. She planned many beautiful details of her day that so perfectly matched the venue — from the blue vintage glassware she collected over time for the tables, to her beautifully stylish BHLDN gown by Anthropologie, Abby thought of everything. The day was full of simple, rustic, elegant details.

Since we never had the chance for a full engagement session together, let me fill you in a little on Abby and Kevin. First of all, you should know that they have an absolutely adorable toddler named Tatum — he almost (yes, almost) stole the show. Aside from how stunning Abby and Kevin both looked, some of my favorite quite moments of their day included Tatum — when he ran down the aisle announcing Abby’s arrival, the moment he crawled under the tulle of Abby’s dress during family portraits, the fist bump he gave Kevin while their family was enjoying a quiet moment together post-ceremony, the way he looked at Abby in her dress. Just writing this brings me so much joy and I’m so honored to have documented Tatum’s participation in their day.

A few other tidbits from my couple’s questionnaire:

What is your favorite thing about each other? *Please answer separately if possible*

Abby: “My favorite thing about Kevin is his kind heart. He will always give people the benefit of the doubt and thinks of others and never does anything maliciously towards others.

Kevin’s favorite thing about me is my free spirited attitude towards life. It can be a little frustrating at times but he likes that I go through life “looking at the butterflies” as he says.”

Describe your perfect date night together:

“There is a brewery by our house called the Willimantic Brewing Company. We frequented there a lot in the beginning of our relationship. I feel like we had our deepest conversations and got to know each other best at that bar. A perfect date night would be an amazing dinner, somewhere eclectic preferably farm to table and then back to the Brewery for a flight. The conversations just always flow well in that familiar place.”

If you could freeze one aspect of your lives right now, what would that be?

“Our son’s childhood. It is going by way too fast and we try to soak up and enjoy every minute of it but with life and work, it still seems to fly by. I blink and he seems way more grown up than he was the day before. But life is meant to be that way, every moment is fleeting, that is why it is important to appreciate them while they are here.”

And now for the images – enjoy, everyone! <3
