A Romantic Shelburne Farms Elopement / K + R

Katie and Rhodesia
June, 2019

Hi, everyone!

Today I’m SO excited to share a few highlights from a romantic Shelburne Farms elopement! This location is always insanely beautiful, and to this day I have yet to get tired of photographing cool, kind, rad humans at this venue.

Katie and Rhodesia are two of the sweetest people and we just had SUCH a wonderful time together adventuring around the property. Vermont elopements are almost always full of beautiful greenery, stunning light and awe-inspiring sunsets and this afternoon did NOT disappoint.

Katie and Rhodesia’s Shelburne Farms Elopement: About the Couple

Here are a few tidbits about the couple to set the scene:

Describe your relationship vibe in three words (i.e. fun, flirty, romantic, easy going, etc): “besties, resilient, silly”

How did you and your partner meet? We met in high school in homeroom on the first day of school. Katie was a freshman and I was a Junior. Throughout high school we remained friendly acquaintances. I moved to Boston for college in 2008, and when Katie moved to Boston for college as well in 2010 we reconnected. And the rest is history!

What is your favorite thing about each other? *Please answer separately if possible*

Rhodesia: My favorite thing about Katie is how determined and ambitious she is. She always knows exactly what she wants to achieve in life and isn’t afraid to do whatever needs to be done to get there. I admire that about her.

Katie: My favorite thing about Rhodesia is her light hearted sense of humor. She never takes things too seriously and can always make me and everyone around her laugh, whether it is through a joke or her contagious smile.

Describe your perfect date night together: Our perfect date night is going out to a museum, and then coming home to cook a nice meal together.

Katie and Rhodesia’s Shelburne Farms Elopement: About the Venue

Shelburne Farms is a stunning 1400 acre working farm whose mission is to educate the public about sustainability and creating a better world. The venue offers sugarwoods, a creamery, a farm store, and acres of rolling hills that back up to Vermont’s best-known gem – Lake Champlain. Katie and Rhodesia were married among the flower gardens and I was lucky enough to celebrate their love with them there as well as on the shores of the lake at sunset. Shelburne Farms always delivers beautiful images – and this day was no different. If you don’t believe me, peek at their gallery below!
