Today I’m incredibly excited to share a few highlights from a romantic Shelburne Farms elopement! This location is always incredibly beautiful in any season, and to this day I have yet to get tired of photographing clients and friends at this gorgeous cenue.
Katie and Rhodesia are two of the sweetest people and we had such a wonderful time together adventuring around the property. Vermont elopements are almost always full of beautiful greenery, stunning light and awe-inspiring sunsets and this afternoon did not disappoint.
A Shelburne Farms Elopement: The Couple
Katie and Rhodesia met in high school homeroom, but it wasn’t until college that their relationship blossomed. The two became romantic when they both lived in Boston. As they said, “we reconnected” and the rest is history! They consider themselves both silly as well as resilient. The two enjoy spending time together and describe their dream date as an afternoon at a museum followed by cooking together at home.
A Shelburne Farms Elopement: The Venue
Shelburne Farms is a stunning 1400 acre working farm whose mission is to educate the public about sustainability and creating a better world. The venue offers sugarwoods, a creamery, a farm store, and acres of rolling hills that back up to Vermont’s best-known gem – Lake Champlain. Katie and Rhodesia were married among the flower gardens and I was lucky enough to celebrate their love with them there as well as on the shores of the lake at sunset.
