“The Notch” is more formally known as Route 108, that connects Jeffersonville to Stowe via a small pass through Vermont’s tallest mountain range. The road is curvy and unique, making it a fun and scenic drive in the summer months. In autumn, it’s breathtaking during peak foliage and images of its winding roads and hiking trails have made it popular among photographers and tourists alike.

Ashley and John will be getting married at The Barn at Smuggs nearby, so it was only fitting that we spent their engagement session adventuring around nearby on the Notch Road. We first met up at The Alchemist for a beer, and then brought a few with us to enjoy once we got to the top.

It’s evident in the images below, but these two are FULL of laughter and have so much fun together. I feel like we’re friends already and can’t even wait to see how their wedding day unfolds!
