Megan and James held the most intimate, beautiful Stowe Vermont elopement this spring. Their day was a warm one – where spring almost feels like summer, and the trees seem to be blossoming at every turn. The pair chose to exchange vows on family property and ended their sweet ring exchange with a champagne celebration alongside their dog, Gouda. I think you’ll agree that their Stowe Vermont elopement emanates romance, intimacy, and joy.
A Stowe Vermont Elopement: The Day
Once their original wedding plans for April 10th fell through due to the pandemic, Megan and James decided that their family property was the perfect place for them to elope. We spent the afternoon adventuring in the backyard with mountain views, and then their ceremony took place in front of the picturesque small pond on their property. I photographed, officiated, and managed to get a few video clips together for them as a little gift. Their pup, Gouda, seemed nothing short of ecstatic herself and even dressed for the occasion. We ended up taking her floral collar off during the ceremony, but be sure to peek at it in the images below. It really is the sweetest.
A Stowe Vermont Elopement: The Couple
Megan and James describe their life together as both fun and adventurous. The pair enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling together, and seeking out new places. Megan describes James as having unlimited curiosity. In fact, it’s one of the things that she loves about him – his desire to continue learning. Together, that curiosity turns into new adventures side by side. When asked what one aspect of their life they’d love to freeze – they responded with nothing. In their words: “Not sure we’d want to? While we’ve loved our time together so far we think it only has potential to get EVEN better. That might just be our unbounded optimism.”
